Webinar presented by SEGUS & SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

In this webinar I will show how you can easily restore a prior access path of your dynamic/static application.

Runstats Rescue – The Real World
Join me for a brief overview of which statistics are used by the Db2 optimizer how they correlate to each other and why Db2 catalog statistics, and RUNSTATS, are still important in todays AI and Autonomic world.

I’ll also introduce RUNSTATS Rescue and show you how to use it for Dynamic and Static SQL access path recovery. This will include the prerequisites, the straight forward restore process and highlighting the differences.

Last, but not least I’ll share real world results from Fiducia & GAD IT AG, Datev eG. and REWE Group covering for example:

  • Matching index access to non-matching index access
  • Table join order changes
  • Error SQLCODE returned – Not possible by a RUNSTATS – Think again!
